MEWP Safety Tag Inserts

The Work at Height Regulations came into force in 2005. These regulations apply to work at height where there is a risk of fall liable to cause personal injury. It states that 'equipment must for work at height is properly inspected and maintained.' MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms), scissor lifts, booms and cherry pickers are included under this instruction.

A daily pre-work inspection should be carried out and recorded on these tags.

Our tag holder should be permanently fixed to the equipment in a suitable safe place. Perform an inspection (checklist is printed on the reverse) and record the results on the tag. In the event of the equipment failing inspection, remove the insert and inform a supervisor.

MEWP safety inserts are designed for use with the max tag holder, which will display 'Do not use this equipment'when the insert is removed.
