One of the largest Grounds Care product manufacturers in the United States of America selects Earlsmere as its authorised representative in Europe for CE marking, testing and certification in preparation for meeting new directives and introducing its professional product range to the European market.
Following detailed contract negotiations and a visit to Johnson Creek, Wisconsin, USA, by Earlsmere Directors Jim White and Jeremy Hoyle, we are pleased to announce our long term partnership with Schiller; a prestigious American company that has an excellent range of products and almost 100 years experience in the greens & grounds industry.
Jeremy Hoyle (Director) comments: “We are extremely pleased to win this contract as during our visit to Johnson Creek we were informed that following a European search we were selected ahead of an Italian based company to conduct the work on behalf of Schiller. This further confirms that the Earlsmere Fivesquared Brand is known and respected throughout the grounds care equipment manufacturing industry’’
A comprehensive and detailed review of quality systems and manufacturing procedures took place in Johnson Creek with Earlsmere’s Managing Director Jim White signing off all processes in line with the requirements of the new machinery directive and CE marking criteria.
Some of Schiller’s product ranges are widely seen as the best on the market and it's easy to see why. Schiller have excellent internal quality systems that are practised by everyone in the company, from shop floor to senior management.
CE marking, certification & testing will be offered across a wide range of products including equipment from the RYAN & Little Wonder brands. Some of the equipment will be tested at Brodsworth Hall & Gardens, South Yorkshire, which is owed by English Heritage. The gardens, a series of “Grand Gardens in Miniature”, have been substantially restored since English heritage took over management of the property in 1990.
With temperatures falling below -14 degrees centigrade during the visit to Johnson Creek, Earlsmere directors were at home following the cold spell that we have experienced in the UK recently.
Jim White (Managing Director) comments: “It was bitterly cold during our visit, temperatures fell below -14 degrees centigrade but it actually felt a lot colder, the extra thermals purchased prior to departure came in really handy especially when you take the wind chill factor into consideration.” Jim continues, “We are very pleased to be chosen as Schiller’s partner for this important work as this consolidates our position as a truly global service provider and follows on from work that we have undertaken with other equipment manufacturers worldwide.”
