Leading Tool and Equipment Hire Specialist rolls out Pat Direct Connect

Earlsmere has completed the final roll out of over 400 Direct Pat Testing systems to VP Brandon Hire Station, including ESS Safe Force, Torrent Trackside and MEP.
The system is installed in every location within the VP Group allowing electrical testing prior to re-hire.

Consisting of our Toolminder Software, Megger 450 Pat Tester, RFID Scanner or Barcode Reader and Label Printer the system is fully operational following installation.

After scanning a barcode or RFID tag on the equipment for the test, the system automatically locates the asset with all its database information and downloads the test requirements to the Megger 450. The operator is then prompted to perform the required tests.

Following testing, the printer produces a test label for affixing to the equipment tested, together with a Test Certificate if required. The test results are automatically updated to the database.

Additional benefits gained from using the system are proof of test, location, date and time and operator conducting the test. Location of assets, frequency of hire through testing and traceability of assets between location are also recorded. The Earlsmere system is linked to VP’s internal system for traceability and verification.
